Working with agency Big Group, I was DoP on this Santander commercial, shot on location at a house in West London.

The film introduced Santander’s new card controls through a relaxed family scene, with the photography designed to feel natural rather than overly lit.

Much of the work was about controlling the strong summer daylight — balancing the exterior levels and shaping the light inside while keeping the sense that it was simply coming from the house around them.

A relatively simple-looking setup, but one where getting the light right made all the difference.
